Social Studies Sports Day Activities
Students will practice their latitude and longitude skills by pinpointing locations of the Olympic Games hosting cities. Use the included task cards, Google Earth, recording page, and world map. When students finish this, then they can work on a history of sports timeline!
Math Sports Day Activities
Math learning centers will be a breeze to plan with the six included math activities! Students will practice the skills of area, measurement, data, adding and subtracting decimals, and more. Take your math learning outside with a long jump and 100m dash measurement and data activities. Use some or all of the included activities during your sports day fun!
ELA Sports Day Activities
Research a famous Olympian! Research directions, graphic organizers, and biography writing page are included. Students can also practice language with the included skill pages.
Science Sports Day Activities
Learn about pulse with a fun heart rate activity. Complete a high dive experiment about weight. These science activities will have your students engaged and learning!
There are more than enough activities to spread activities out over a few days. Go all out and decorate your classroom for the event. Set up sports decorations, wear your favorite team uniforms, or make a special sports-themed snack. Do as much or as little as you want. Either way it will be a day your students will remember!
