May is almost here and summer is calling! Down here in Florida where I live, we start school in early August, which means we get out for summer in late May. It’s already beach weather here so we are ready for pool days, beach days and everything in between!! All my teacher friends are itching to make it through this last month and looking for fun but meaningful activities to do with their kids. Today I am rounding up some of my favorite May classroom activities. Check them out below!

May Print and Go Worksheets
The old faithful of my store- my print and go units! These are the EASIEST to use and go along perfectly with the holidays, celebrations and special days in any month. This May resource includes math and reading activities on Cinco de Mayo, facts about Mexico, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, sharks, sports, and spring/ summer themes! It truly has it all! If you’re looking for a one stop shop for May, this is it!
Mexico Country Study
Do you celebrate and teach about Cinco De Mayo in your classroom? It’s a fun cultural lesson to teach about and have some fun with! My Mexico County Study includes activities for reading, writing, math, geography, making this a very useful cross-curricular study! Take your students on a virtual trip to Mexico and learn about its geography, culture, food and celebrations! It includes a digital version as well for a perfect early finisher enrichment activity!
End of Year Digital Scrapbook
I can’t believe I even typed the words “end of year” but here we are almost in May! Anyone else still feel like it was just 2020 and now we are almost halfway through 2023?! This digital scrapbook was a product of the initial wave of the pandemic in 2020 when school buildings were closed and teachers were desperately trying to keep the fun in the end of a VERY strange school year. This memory book was created for use with Google slides, and you can pick and choose which pages you want your students to complete before assigning it. It is perfect for all grade level K-6 as well. I love to have my students work on these when they are done with other classwork or as a work station!
Carnival Theme Day
Looking to pump up student engagement during the last month of school? An interactive and exciting theme day is a perfect solution! This Carnival Theme Day unit has carnival activities for reading, writing, language, social studies, science, and math ALL included! You can decorate your room and do one big end of year carnival bash or separate the activities and stretch the fun out a week or more. I love planning my end of year party and awards around a good theme, and this one is perfect! 😊
Read all about how I have a carnival theme day in this blog post!
I hope you are ready to finish the year strong and with a little bit of fun mixed in there too! Do you use any other TTR products in May? If so, let me know which ones I should add to my roundup!
Happy teaching!
