April is a busy month with Easter, but we can’t forget about Earth Day too! When I was in the classroom I loved to teach about natural resources, plants and trees, recycling/reusing and pollution during April to tie in with Earth Day. Here are some Earth Day activities I have in my TPT store that I think could be PERFECT to tie in with your Earth Day studies!
Earth’s Natural Resources
This unit includes an Informational mini-book and lessons help students identify natural resources (living, nonliving, renewable, and nonrenewable), learn how natural resources are used, how to conserve natural resources, identify renewable and nonrenewable energy sources, environmental cause and effect of natural resources, and research more about natural resources. Learn more about this unit here.
Humans Impact on the Environment
In this unit students will learn how humans affect the environment in both positive and negative ways. Dive into various topics including types of pollution, reforestation, renewable/ nonrenewable resources, and environmental technologies. Learn more about this unit here.
Plants Class Activities
Spring and plants go together perfectly! In this unit you will find activities about plant structures & functions, plant life cycle, photosynthesis, plant adaptations, and more! Read more about this unit in the blog post here.

This unit has fun Earth Day themed activity pages with a mix of important reading, writing, and math skills practice! Perfect for 3rd-4th grade! Pages are print and go ready! Perfect for whole group, small group, early finishers, or learning centers. Check it out here!
Earth Day Boom Cards
If you haven’t used BOOM decks in the classroom yet, you are missing out! You can read a blog post about using BOOM cards in the classroom here. These decks are perfect to use as part of your Earth Day fun. They make great center or early finisher activities! Click on each deck to find out more about it!
